schools next week – The schools were closed
two years ago after due
to frequent Haram attacks – Internally Displayed
Persons (IDPs) occupying
the schools had been
relocated Borno state is preparing for life
after Boko Haram as the state
government is set to re-open public secondary schools next
week after two years of
closure. The state’s commissioner for
education, Inuwa Kubo, told the
News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) in
Maiduguri that the schools will
resume for academic activities
after the Internally Displayed Persons (IDPs) occupying the
schools had been relocated. Borno state governor, Kashim
Shettima is making efforts to
ensure that Borno gets back to
what it was before According to the commissioner,
repairs had been carried out on
all the structures in the schools
to provide a conducive
atmosphere for teaching and
learning.
